This e-mail contains the link to the student ePortfolio survey that needs to be distributed to students along with a script that can be used in recruiting students to complete the survey. As stated previously, we encourage extra credit in completion of the survey in hopes to boost our completion rate in return producing more robust data. The survey will be available from today until December 18th. After December 18th, we will forward to you a list of students that completed the survey in order for credit to be given in order for timely completion of your final grades. The link to survey for students can be placed in D2L or e-mailed to students through D2L or another tool.
Student Recruitment Script The implementation of ePortfolios into this class is part of a UW System pilot project. There are over 200 students and 20 instructors at UWM that are involved in the study. Part of the pilot project includes an investigation by the Learning Technology Center to study how ePortfolios impact student success.
To participate in the study you will complete an online survey that contains approximately 80 questions about your experience with the D2L ePortfolio. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The survey will be available starting Monday, December 7th, at 9AM and will continue to Friday, December 18th, 5:00PM. You may receive extra credit for your participation.
The questionnaire you fill out will be treated confidentially. YOUR NAME WILL NOT BE LINKED IN ANYWAY TO YOUR SURVEY RESPONSES. If you have any questions regarding the study, please contact Tanya Joosten, Learning Technology Center, 414.229.4319 or tjoosten@uwm.edu.
